Swaddlingclothes.biz is my dream job – I’ve mixed my passion for sewing and design with my love for children’s clothes. I started sewing as a teenager, making my own prom dresses, pant suits, blouses – anything I saw that I liked, I could copy and make it my own by changing the fabric or style to fit my taste. Then, as a young mother, I sewed my kids’ clothes. At the time, my husband was a junior enlisted Coast Guardsman and we had 3 kids under the age of 4. I bought patterns and fabric and sewed into the wee hours, dressing my children in clothes that suited their personalities and our lifestyle. Now, even though the kids are grown and my husband is way past “junior” anything, I still enjoy the challenge of making special items for special little ones. So, for this dream job of mine, I choose fabrics, coordinate colors, mix and match patterns, textures and designs. To keep everything distinctive, I purchase materials only in small quantities. There are no “repeats;” each item/outfit is a unique, one-of-a-kind creation, for a one-of-a-kind child!
