I. Why buy from me?

SwaddlingClothes.biz is individually owned and privately operated. There is no corporation; there are no investors or shareholders to whom I am beholden. I am solely and wholly responsible for each and every item that leaves my workroom - and I take that responsibility very seriously.

I decide what items to make, when to make them and how many to construct.  If I don't like what I've made, for whatever reason, I won't make it available for sale. If I don't like it and wouldn't buy it for myself, why should I ask you to do so? I have no quota to meet for production; likewise I have no minimum monthly sales requirement. 

My quality standards are firm and strict.  (See below for my pledge to you.)

II. What about sizing?

Sizes are not standard among manufacturers. Garments produced in mass quantities differ in measurement and cut depending on which company is producing them, where they are produced and where they will be sold. Sizes of my hand-made garments may vary slightly between styles, construction material and apparel function. Those variations are intentional as they permit superior construction and provide for a better overall fit.

General sizes are as follows (remember, sizes are approximate and may vary):

III. Shipping Policy:

A. Items will be shipped immediately upon receipt of payment, including shipping cost, from PayPal.

B. Shipping methods are determined by the purchaser at the time of checkout.

C. Shipping costs are predetermined by the shipper.

1) Any difference between shipper charge and what is charged to the purchaser is attributable to the cost of "handling," i.e. packaging, padding, etc. I will make no attempt to derive profit from shipping cost.

IV. Cancellations

A. Orders may be cancelled and total purchase prices refunded up until the time of shipment.

B. No cancellations are permitted after shipment. See blow - part V. Return/Exchange/Refund policy for further information.

V. Return/Exchange/Refund Policy:

A. Within 30 days from date of receipt (as determined by shipper delivery record),

1) Items may be returned for a full refund, including original shipping charges if:

a) the item has a manufacturing defect, noticed prior to wear/usage and;

b) the item is returned in otherwise new and unused condition, or;

c) a picker/packer error occurred. (Errors may include, but are not limited to the shipment of an incorrect size, color or style, i.e. I shipped the wrong thing!).

2) Items may be returned for repair at purchaser's expense when a manufacturing defect is discovered after wear/use and if:

a) the defect was not enhanced by wear/use;

b) the defect is repairable and;

c) the defective item is returned in clean and otherwise undamaged condition.

3) Items may be returned for a partial refund (purchase price excluding shipping/handling costs) if:

a) the reason for the refund is not manufacture related (i.e. purchaser requested the wrong size, color or style, etc.), and;

b) the item is returned in new and otherwise unused condition.

4) No items may be returned for replacement-in-kind. As all items are unique originals there are no in-kind replacements available. 

VI.  What is a two-fer? Basically, a two-fer is two outfits for the price one.  Reversible wear provides true inside out wearability.  Two-fers are great for those times your child makes an "Oh Oh."  Just wipe as best you can, turn the soiled garment inside out, and go on like nothing happened - no one will be the wiser!  Plus, when you purchase a suit, you actually get four outfits for the price of one!  Mix and match tops/bottoms, insides/reverse sides!  What a bargain!

My pledge to you:

Each item you purchase from me will leave my possession in clean and in immediately wearable condition*;  

Each discrepancy you report to me will be rapidly addressed and resolved by me to the best of my ability;

I will produce and sell unique, original clothing so that you won't see your child's attire on any other child, anywhere**;

Your satisfaction and repeat business are my primary concerns.

 *I wash all fabric prior to construction.  Pre-washing prepares the fabric for sewing by removing sizing (it causes that stiff feeling in new clothes),

** I buy my materials wholesale at commercial retail establishments.  It is impossible to prevent other persons from purchasing like fabrics, trim, etc.
